Clinton supporters, we feel your pain...please don't make it worse.

Tue May 27, 2008 at 07:32:31 AM PDT

I am struggling to believe that the most loyal Clinton supporters have really thought through their promises to pull the lever for John Mccain.

John McCain appears more and more to be beholden to special interests and lobbyists and big money concerns...far from the Maverick label that he is trying so desperately to hold on to.

John McCain is consulting with the same people that delivered Roberts and Scalia to the Supreme Court.

John McCain has become the political animal that he so despised, realizing that no matter how hard he tried, he could never become Presitent without the blessings of some pretty scary folks - some of whom even spread ugly lies about HIM AND HIS FAMILY in 2000 to destroy his candidacy against George Bush.

John McCain is not the straight shooter and straight talker that we are led to believe.  He flips and flops more than John Kerry could ever have been accused of.

Do we need our government to give more support to Big Business - the same people that are making huge profits everytime you go to the store or the gas station?

Do we need our Supreme Court to consist of more far right (non-activist my ass) "get over it" types on the bench, presiding over our most important court cases for the next generation?

Do we need the same get-their-way-at-all-costs people that have been pulling the strings of the GW/Republican lead government to continue to pull the strings if John McCain is elected president?

Do we need another bottom of the class type of guy to represent us in the world and here at home?

All of these issues make me wonder what the Clinton supporters are really thinking.  I realize that watching your candidate - the one that you want so badly to win - get beaten in the election process is hard to deal with.  Most people understand that - think Al Gore in 2000.

Think what that did for our country and for the world.  Ask some of the Nader voters what they think of their vote now - A friend of mine voted for Nader and says to this day that that is his biggest regret.

If nothing else, think of what this election means to your children.  Think of what another 4/8 years of this puppet regime will do for your daughters.

Think of a guy that calls his wife a "Trollop" and a "Cunt" in full view of other people and the total lack of respect for women that shows.

Think about 10-20-30 years from now when your kids look at you and say, "I can't believe you voted for John McCain over Barack Obama when you had a chance to make the world a better place."

This is a crossroads that we as a nation are coming to.  It is truly a defining moment for us and the world.  We have two very different choices.

Please think of the future and what it could be.
