Not ready to reflect on Russert yet. w/Update

Now might not be the best time to give or get an honest assessment of Tim Russert and his career.
There will be a time when the dust has cleared, and some of us who are mourning, yes mourning, will be able to respond more objectively. Right now, we are each dealing in our own way. I have dealt with death many many times at so many different levels. Russert's death has hit me pretty hard. I am not even sure why, it just has. I am truly saddened by his loss.
Wouldn't those of you who wish to pass judgment on the man rather get a meaningful response from people like me who are just not ready to respond yet, one way or the other?
Instead of my, "Go fuck yourself" knee-jerk reaction to what I view as your inability to show a little class and the appropriate level of respect due at this time, wouldn't you like a real discussion with many intelligent points of view coming in from the community?
I've seen people break out into fights at funerals before. Death can sometimes bring out the worst in those that remain.
For whatever reason, I and many of the members of this community would appreciate some time to reflect, react, and to move on. Right now may be too soon.
All I can muster is, "Go fuck yourself."
How about giving the rest of us some time to get our heads together, to gather our thoughts, and then discuss. Otherwise, you are just shouting into the darkness that is our inability to respond objectively.
Yes, you have the right to say whatever you want about the man and his career. But wouldn't it be more productive to give the rest of us some time to deal with our emotions?
Keep your powder dry.
There will be a time, probably pretty soon, when many of us will be able to better respond. Some that today say, "Go fuck yourself," might tomorrow agree with your assessments. Some, like myself might have more energy and a clearer mindset to oppose your position.
I'm not ready yet, and from the looks of it, many here are not ready yet.
Just wait, and soon enough we can all sit down and have a valuable, insightful, honest discussion about what Tim Russert did or did not do for us.
So please, hold off on the assessments for a while.
As they say, the body isn't even cold yet.
In due time. In due time.
UPDATE: It is almost funny how some people refuse to show any restraint whatsoever. They refuse to understand that other people might not want to engage at this point. I thought I made it pretty clear that I was not going to battle over the pros and cons of Tim Russert right now. I appreciate the free psychoanalysis offered by some though.
It is apparant that some are unable to show respect for the dead. And those same people refuse to show respect for their fellow members.
To each of them I say, re-read my diary then...GO FUCK YOURSELF!
